Home > Programs > Extended Care Extended care is offered as service to working parents. Extended Care hours are 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 - 6:00 p.m. Extended Care is offered on school days only. If a child arrives before 8:00 a.m. or is not picked up by 10 minutes past dismissal, he or she is expected to be in Extended Care. There is no charge 30 minutes before or after school. A responsible adult picking up a student must have his/her name listed on the Release Form. Parent/responsible adult must sign out students when picking them up. Are you aware of our memory verses? While Extended Care staff provide a nicely structured program, there is still time
for some recreational essentials (computers, games, puzzles, crafts, etc.)... Some important information for Extended Care Kindergartners is below.
FeesPer child: $.75/15 min. or $3.00/hour. You can't even get a cheap babysitter at these prices anymore! Extended Care Discounts: 2 children - 10%; 3 or more children - 30% There is no extended care charge if a parent is on campus, or for first and second grade students from 2:20-3:20 p.m. if they have a sibling in grades 3-8. Each of extended care providers are adults with families of their own. Since they have a responsibility to be home in the evenings, we must charge $1.00/min. for any late pick-ups of children past 6:00 p.m. Habitually-late parents may be asked to stop using the Extended Care program.
Extended Care Schedule for KindergartenA few things parents of Kindergarten students need to keep in mind are food and sleep. The Kindergarten students do nap everyday and the school provides cots. if your child is staying past 12:45 please bring a large towel or blanket for them to use during naptime. Your child might feel a bit more comfortable and relaxed with a familiar item from home when trying to nap with other students sleeping nearby. Please also keep in mind that students eat lunch at 11:30 and if your child isn't picked up from extended care until 5:00 PM they may get hungry during the afternoon. A small snack should be provided or money left for your child to purchase an item from the snack store.
Memory VersesEach week there will be a new memory verse in the weekly newsletter under the
Extended Care section. Please encourage your child to memorize it. We can only
keep God's Word in our heart if we know it. This is for all grades whether or
not they are in Extended Care. Donuts will be provided on Wednesdays to
successful students who memorize the weekly verse. If you would rather your
child not have a donut please contact our staff and other arrangements can be made. There are times when a student may
be given a treat for having an extra special day or for doing a good deed.
Again, if you have any concern about the treats, please contact
us. |
