The Home and School Association is the parent-teacher organization of Orangevale Seventh-day Adventist School. All parents sending children to Orangevale Seventh-day Adventist School and faculty are invited to participate. Membership is voluntary and there are no dues. The officers announce general meetings, school socials, fundraisers (see some results below), and other special events. The goals of this association are to enhance unity among the school family, sponsor various student fund-raisers, help organize events, and provide educational programs for students and parents.

Results

Our Home and School Association MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!! Our fundraisers have provided the following (a partial list) for our school:

	Read-a-thon raised over $18,000.00!
	Sponsored Staff Appreciation Week and Luncheon
	Coordinated decision for school colors (Blue & Gold) and school mascot (Falcon).
	Soccer. We began this very popular after-school activity in fall 2001 and it was huge success!
	Annual Fall Festival
	Dr. Kay Kuzma, a world-renowned child development specialist, presented a weekend seminar series on parenting and family relationships
	Purchased a new United States flag
	The BIG (6') Multi-colored ball
	Spelling Bee Reception (hostess, provide dessert and supplies)
	Pioneer Living Experience all-school assembly
	Wild Things all-school assembly
	First Day of School welcome banner, balloons, and treat
	Get-Acquainted Potluck (for student families)
	Eye and Hearing Testing for all students
	Week of Prayer (split the cost with school)
	Participation with scheduled hot lunches
	Water Balloon Toss at Mr. Davis (for reaching sales goal)
	Christmas Program Cookie Reception (coordinate, decorate, hostess, and provide supplies)
	many more...

Earmark $1,500 for future purchase of gymnasium equipment
