Medications

Teachers will NOT diagnose a health condition or give any internal medications, including aspirin, except as indicated in the following statements...

Prescription Medication:

Any student who is required to take medication during the regular school day as prescribed by a physician may be assisted by the school secretary or other designated school personnel if the school has:

bulletWritten & signed instructions from a physician.
bulletWritten & signed permission from parents stating purpose and instructions for giving medication and date.

Medication must be delivered to the school office in the original container bearing the pharmacy label.

Non-Prescription Medications

bulletWritten & signed permission from parents stating purpose and instructions for giving medication and date.

All non-prescription medications (aspirin, Tylenol, etc.) must be brought to the school office by the parent in the original container with the child’s name on the label.
