Proud father with his junior high daughter at Catalina.

It is observed that students who know their parents are involved with their school have a higher motivation level to do their best with their school experience.  Parents are encouraged to be as active as possible with their child’s school experience both at home and at school.  Some ways for parents to be involved at school include:  driving for field trips, helping with hot lunches, grading papers, coming to a work bee, and/or working on a Home and School committee.
An excellent way for parents to help motivate children toward diligence is to review, on a weekly basis, their child(ren)’s schoolwork.  Students are much more motivated to excel when they know parents are pleasantly, actively involved in the learning process.

Adult volunteers are required by law to have a background check.  Forms will be included in the registration process with no charge for the background check.
