Our whole school was able to experience what life was like for our early American pioneers at our Pioneer Living Experience Assembly. As you can tell from our photos, it was a fun experience.

This was a hands-on event sponsored by our Home & School.

Of course we panned for gold...

Making biscuits from scratch was a lot of fun...

We learned first hand that pumping water took a lot more work than turning on the faucet. Where did the hot water pump go?
We learned how the early pioneers made thread out of wool...
We learned how to grind grain into flour. This is definitely not as easy as buying it at the local grocery store...
There was no such thing as electric razors...
We had a blast stringing wooden and ceramic beads...
Look Mom! Check out the line waiting to wash clothes...
Washing clothes was a lot of fun at school but the students figured out that it was a lot of work, and doing this regularly was quite a chore!
